This just in - Hogan launches "Canadian
Country Christmas" - Charity Concert
Tour 2004
Hi folks just wanted to get this info to
you. After hearing some of my favourite
singers pipe out some cool lines (sing)
on a song of mine called "It's Christmas
Time" (a charity song), I had the thought
"Wouldn't it be great to do some fund
raiser shows with these artists."
Well after thinking about that, I thought
sure why not, a tour to towns and cities
that the Huron Carole has never gone into.
I worked full time for an environmental
organization for four years before pursuing
music full time; I was always impressed
with how so few people could make such a
huge contribution and what better way to
help make a difference than with music.
So after talking with both friends at radio,
as well as artists who sang on "It's
Christmas Time," I have come up with
this first of hopefully many tours to come
of charity Christmas concerts. Each community
has its own needs so every stop helps out
in a different and meaningful way.
This year the tour features Duane Steele,
Diane Chase, Jamie Warren, Jake Matthews
and yours truly. Each artist will perform
for at least 25 minutes and this will include
at least one Christmas song plus the artist's
own radio hits. Each community we play will
receive all the profits for their own local
charity in need.
Stay tune for stories from the road and
concert date additions.

Sean Hogan Summer 2004 Update "Lost
his Pants"...yes read on my friends...
Hey gang it's me, Sean... how are you?
I hope you're summer is everything you wanted...
yes I do hope that, stop being so cynical.
I have some really good news to share so
I hope you read on.
Okay the exciting stuff from early June
first. I filmed a video for my song "Catalina
Sunrise". I worked with my pal Colin
Cunningham for the third time, and let me
tell you, he did the best job yet with this
video. Hey we shot it in California too,
it was a blast! Santa Barbara and Palm Springs
no less. The video started airing in early-mid
July on CMT and it is getting regular air-play
there. The song has been selected to be
the title track for my new album (number
4) due out in late September. The single
is getting extremely good adds at radio
at present and seems to be headed for my
biggest debut yet two out of three of the
charts.
When I came back from filing the video
I was off to the West Coast again but this
time my old home turf of Victoria. After
having a couple weeks of there and editing
the video with the crew my family and I
headed back to Saskatoon, where I had to
fly out to Ontario to continue recording
the album for most of July. What about the
album you ask...Well let me tell you, The
album rocks and I can't wait to release
it. While I have been playing some shows
here and there between Ontario and Alberta
this summer highlights being the show in
London and the Big Valley Jamboree to name
a couple, my focus has been on finishing
this album I began in May of last year.
Now for the part about my pants well..
I did seem to lose them at the Big Valley
Jamboree, and no it wasn't when I started
the show, however after calling everyone
at the places I had stayed at between Ontario
and Alberta, to find the "pants from
the video"; I gave up and ordered more,
yes that's when my guitarist calls out of
the blue..literally minutes after I ordered
another two pairs and he says "hey
found the pants, they were in my guitar
flight case". typical Hogan stuff..........
Okay you've heard the scoop now, now the
big news as I said the single "Catalina
Sunrise" is getting great adds at radio
in only it's 3rd week we have more than
2/3rds of the stations on it, and the Canadian
Country Music Association calls me and asks
me to come perform on the T.V show "live"
next month. I don't think lightning strikes
twice but,... I have been nominated again
for the award I won last year, "Roots
Artist of the Year",.. I'm pumped!
and I hope you can tune in to see me excited
to be playing live that's not to tape on
the show on Monday September 13th. Thanks
for reading the update. I look forward to
sending you an album as soon as you order
it.
Love ya,
Best,
Sean

Sean Hogan's Music makes Nashville headlines
on CMT
Hey folks hope this finds you doing well.
Let me qualify that I wrote this thinking,
if I don't send this out I'll feel like
well, I should have, (so kinda uncomfortable)
and if I do send this I'm gonna feel like,
"I'm shamelessly promoting my music",
but for the record.....I'll still sleep
fine.
On the last day of 2003, CMT U.S. in Nashville,
contacted me to ask when I was coming to
Nashville next, they received my U.S. debut
and were digging
it; and they asked if I could send them
everything on me as far as music videos,
and well you know "the whole shooting
match", so here ya go.
They (CMT) went and put up a profile on
me and I'm truly honored. So I thought for
the 5 or 6 people who dig what I do... I
better let you all know it's up and you
can even express or vent your views on life
or my music, at this post profile.
Also I want to thank Edmonton, Ottawa,
Vancouver, Saskatoon, and Hamilton for being
among the first stations to jump on my new
single "Centered" from
my forthcoming album. The album is due
out this spring.
Just look low and to the right of the page
you'll see a guy pondering the eternal question...will
spring return to Saskatoon, Saskatchewan!!!!
P.S. hey this is kinda cool, I was just
asked by the C.C.M.A. to present the award
at Canadian Music Week for the "Independent
Country Album of the Year"
Well that's it for now I think, I'll be
out working on, my finishing this new album
for next few weeks.
All the best gang, thanks for the support.
Sean
