I'm headin' "STRAIGHT"
for Texas!
Hey gang, wanted to share the enthusiasm!
I have been accepted to get a tune I
wrote that's on the forthcoming new
album, an got it goin' on,... a Texas
Radio chart cd for April. My tune
"Straight" is posted here
for preview, and is set for an edition
of "CDTEX" headed for as
many stations in Texas as we have in
Canada in total. I hope to be playing
there later this year so it's a nice
start to that. Also I'm buzzin' to say
I'm off to catch John Hiatt, Lyle
Lovett, Guy Clarke and Joe Ely, Monday
night in Winnipeg MB. YEEHAAAW!! Now
this is gonna be the show of the year,
indeed; for two of my favorite
songwriters are playing with two other
fantastic songwriters. So meantime
enjoy the tune I just posted and and
if there is a God and I believe there
is, may She bless you too, again and
again. Course you already know you are
right?
Cheers!

Hey folks, Sean here. Okay I am
totally stoked and not just cuz winter
is going end this month. It's all
about the sound of my new album and I
know it's gonna rock radio and
generate very strong interest. Okay
I'm not a psychic, no... but I got a
very strong GUT FEELING. I am offering
the album to anyone who would like to
buy it for a very low presale price
which includes the shipping/ no matter
where you live, for a total of $15.00

price.
With a little luck I'll be getting a
video out there to support this new
album of minbe called "the
Southern Sessions" within the
next little while with the first
single out of the gate.
So if you dug my writing over the
years like.. I don't know maybe Silver
Lining Girl, I'd Rather Have You,
Angeline, Dream Vacation, Catalina

Heart, Conspiracy Radio, ya know
there's been a few.. aound 24 tunes

years. Well get ready for 10 more..!.
Can ya feel it people? ya that
excitement is pulsing!!
Please get in touch, if you wanna

"The Southen Sessions"
New direction/Newest album from Hogan
Hey gang! all my MYSPACE peeps. (lol)
kinda literal there I guess really
huh? Hope this finds you all slipping
with some relief, into the last
offical month of winter. Even though
in some places like oh i dunno....here,
we're looking at a likely extension to
Old Man winter, well past the official
date of Spring. What ya gonna do.
I am writing to let you all know in
case it wasn't clear I have put the
"Best Of " album project on
hold for now. Yup! I'm releasing an
all new material collection of songs
instead. "The Southern
Sessions" due out in a little
less than two months time; just seemed
like the right thing to so. Hell
there's always time down the road for
an official, "Best Of" or,
here's an idea.. YA! get all my albums
and burn your own favourite
collection. Honestly this cd unlike
any other album I have ever released,
3/4's of these songs were written in
THE SOUTH. Those songs are also all
co-writes with Heavy songwriters that
I have had a great time writing with.
As well all the songs on this new
album were recorded in Nashville.
I am totally stoked about the sound of
this new album and I know it's gonna
rock radio and generate very strong
interest. Okay I'm not a psychic,no...
but I got a very strong GUT FEELING. I
am offering the album to anyone who
would like to buy it for a presale
very low offer which includes the
shipping no matter where you live for
a total of $15.00 taxes, shipping,
everything in that price. With a
little luck I'll be getting a video
out there as well within the next
little while to support the first
single out of the gate. I will also
load up a few new songs on the site
for your listening pleasure ..well
depending on demand for those clips.
Again, thanks for the support in the
past. I know fans of my music are
gonna love tunes from this new album.
Remember it's called "The
Southern Sessions", and it's
available at a low presales price now
until it's out.
Cheers, Love and Licks,.

CANADIAN COUNTRY CHRISTMAS or
Christmas in our snowy country of
Canada
HEY FRIENDS AND MY SPACE BUDS, .
Yes "Tis the Season" and
Merry Christmas indeed. or if you're
not digging Christmas I'm totally
cool with wishing you Happy Winter
Solstice! Either or, Happy Holidays
in any event.
WOW! It's been a year of learnin
and a rewarding year. The Charitable
Concert tour I have led for three
years around Christmas known as the
Canadian Country Christmas Concert
tour (an event for food banks, hospital
foundation and many other community
needs) just wrapped up and we are
all home safe for the Holidays. Hey
if you came to one our shows thanks
a bunch. I hope you enjoyed it. To
date we have raised more than 40 thousand
for non sponsored charities throughout
Canada.
So what's new for me in the new year...?
well glad you almost asked...Here's
what's on the docket, in 2007 I have
a new Roots album coming out it's
an acoustic album of some of my best
songs, ALSO NEW is a new album for
the Country fan market, this album
is called "The Southern Sessions"
and it is a follow-up to Catalina
Sunrise, as well as a Christmas album
for next fall and last but least an
a Americana album for the U.S. market,
a follow-up to my U.S. debut in the
Americana market which was "Ruled
By Mercury". Ya I know sounds
like a lot huh? but just watch me...two
of 4 are already "in the can"
as they say.
Hope you enjoy the Christmas song
I wrote called "It's Christmas
Time". It should be finished
posting very soon, I just checked
and it seems to be taking a bit longer
than I thought to get on the site.
The song is the same one that gave
me he inspiration to start the Canadian
Country Christmas Concert tours across
Canada. For the record I am not a
big religious person but I am a big
fan of history and yes I feel a spiritual
person and that ties into Winter Solstice
enough for me.
Love and Licks, Sean
P.S. Happy safe times ahead to you
all in 2007 from my clan to yours.
Peace out.

Current Events
Hey folks, Sean checking in....Wow
it's spring and I couldn't be happier
about it, up here just South of the
Canadian Tundra.
My last couple months have been a
whirlwind and in the best of ways. In
February I was out playing in my
native province of Ontario performing
with a talented singer/songwriter
named Bill Culp. We met during Country
Music week last year, and though he's
a closet "rockabilly artist"
(lol) the dude does rock. We had
several shows and great crowds at them
all. It was truly great to get out
there and sing and play my songs
acoustically just the way I wrote
them. You know I don't think in ten
years (can you believe it's been
nearly 10 years since my first album)
I've done that kind of tour and I am
looking forward to doing more of them
later this year. On top of that the
fans love the interaction with a whole
show of that dynamic. However after my
Nashville trip this time those tour
plans will have to wait, that is for
sure.
This month I was off to Nashville to
write and perform with a full band and
acoustically. I had cancelled my shows
last May when I got there to Music
City with full out
"Bronchitis" and after
sitting around down there for a few
really sick depressing days I drove
all the way home so this time I was
back too finish some business, but, I
came away with much more than that. I
got down there on the 5th and stayed
until the 13th. I sure got more than I
bargained for. Let it be known I am
seriously looking at moving down at
least in part,in the short term. My
show with Billy Block's "Western
Beat "was recorded for radio
broadcast later next month. The band
was awesome I am glad I chose who I
did to play in my band thanks guys.
I wrote four new tunes during the week
there and the co-writers of mine are
becoming good friends and this from a
guy who has written nearly all his
material alone. One song is seriously
being considered right now, by some
major king pins in the U.S. recording
artist world, needless to say I am
excited about this more than I have
been anything else in my career for a
number of years. I am now actively
pursuing a U.S.
"artist/writer" deal so who
knows maybe some new things will come
about in the coming months. This is an
endeavor I have never honestly pursued
but I am very excited about it all
right now I can tell you this.
I'll be filling you in with more soon,
but for now I hope all is well, and
you can be assured I haven't been
happier in a long time about what I do
for a living.
Love & Luck!

Sean Hogan's 1st blog of
the year 2006
Hey everyone, just thought I'd check
in. It's been a while since I wrote
a BLOG so here goes something to play
catch up with and say "here's
what's shaking". SO...Happy 2006!
It was truly good, to take some time
off after being on the road for nearly
two months straight before Christmas.
My tour ended just one month ago,
and time has been moving quickly ever
since. I hope you all had a Merry
little Christmas. I did, mine was
time spent with family and that was
cool. Many have been e-mailing to
say how much they enjoyed the Canadian
Country Christmas Concert tour this
year. I was quite happy to be out
there performing with friends on the
tour for various charities this year.
We had some very proactive communities
and they were all very responsive
crowds even in the odd place where
the events never achieved the financial
charity boost due to ideal crowd size,
the concerts raised awareness for
the charities and it looks like over
all since the response was as strong
across the country especially in Ontario
and the Western provinces I will do
my best to get the tour rolling again
for 2006. All of the communitites
want me to bring the concerts back
so I will do my best.
Here's some late breaking news, ya
that's it, this just in....Sean Hogan's
album from 2005 "Catalina Sunrise",
chosen as the 2nd best album out of
12 possible ranking positions in "Delaney's
Dozen" a ranking of Larry Delaney's
favourite releases from the previous
year. The magazine is the international
Country Music magazine "Country
Music News". Ya my hats off to
the ..1 place earner Lisa Brokop and
all the artists who ranked in there
and of course even in the honourable
mentions category. I gotta say it's
sweet way to start the year off in
style. In the year 2000 my Hijacked
album came in 3rd for the previous
year's best and and in 2002 my Late
Last Nite album came in ..7 for year
previous, but this has been better
then those, so I'll toast to that,
thanks Larry Delaney, you rock!
I am currently gettng ready for a
February tour of Ontario dates with
Ontario based singer/songwriter Bill
Culp. It's gonna be a blast. Oh ya
it's a Roots and Roll tour and promises
to be a whole lot of fun, check the
tour page on my website for dates
and locations. Then I get back in
time to see my family for a couple
weeks okay less then that, then I'm
of to Nashville for a few shows I'll
be doing there as well as some writing
sessions too. I am also working on
a Americana follow-up to my charting
2002 release "Ruled By Mercury"
which came out only in the U.S. I'm
already satisfied with several songs
I've written for my next release for
Canada and in the U.S. Stay tuned
for more on that folks.
Well that's it for now, I'll leave
you with some sage advice at some
point but I'm right out at the moment
(lol) uhmm, watch your diet everything
in moderation? Sure that works for
me..oh and vote on Monday the 23rd,
man, I wish there were better choices
but a minority in any party I believe
is the best for Canada's interests,
everyone has to work together then,
perfect.
Cheers!
Sean out.

Sean Hogan's First Summer
Newsletter since moving to the Prairies
Hi folks thought I would start off
with some thoughts I had in the time
I've stolen to think for a moment.
Top Ten signs that Sean Hogan knows
summer is here
#10 The calendar says so
#9 It's raining in Saskatoon too much
#8 I'm taking my band on the road
more than I do in the winter.
#7 I'm taking my two little girls
to the "Merry Go-Round".
#6 If I don't take my girls to the
"Merry Go-Round", neighbours
hear them cry & scream through
screen door.
#5 I'm cranking the radio in the car,
with windows rolled down.
#4 I'm rolling up the windows of the
car, because the mosquitos in Saskatchewan
are trying to car-jack me.
#3 I'm singing unfinished songs on
the front porch with my guitar,
#2 I'm not at the gym, but I'm not
exercising either, I'm drinking coffee
outside.
#1 I'm fearing winter already,...
again.

Sunrise"

job too.. You'll be seeing more of
this mysterious "femme fatale"
that stars in my 17thmusic video to

More Awards? You've got
to be kidding? uhm, well...thanks
then
Hey guys and gals. I'm down here
in Nashvegas, (Nashville) and writing
up a storm. The weather here is so.....nice
right now, compared to oh i dunno...say
Northern Canada ie. right out in the
central Prairie region. However speaking
of that part of the world you won't
find it easy to find nicer people
than the folks on the prairies and
I have proof they just gave me each
of the awards they nominated me for,
with the Saskatchewan Country Music
Association. Last night and thank
you Dave for accepting on my behalf.
I am so honoured to have won for Male
Artist and Best Music Video with my
new album's title track video, "Catalina
Sunrise". Also I would like to
thank them again for the Humanitarian
award.
So I am having a very good time meeting
lots of industry peeps and writing
down here too Only I wish my family
could experience this part of the
world's Gulf stream effect, it's really
great! Much different than the Arctic
stream effect. I am going to be experiencing
a little more Gulf stream and beyond
when I head to Cuba next month to
film our next music video forcut number
1, on the new album. I'm real excited
about filming the music video for
A Cowboy's Heart, there, and seeing
some more of the world I have never
seen; if you don't have the new album
check it when you can, I bet you'll
dig it.
May your good times be many.
Best,
Sean

This just in, from recording
artist Sean Hogan
"Thirty Something" and
here I am learning the definition
of blogging, kinda funny.... Hey it's
me here folks, Canadian Singer/songwriter
Sean Hogan. I'm inviting you to check
out my brand new web site. This site
supports my fourth Canadian album
Catalina Sunrise and my other albums
too.. Art Bell fans who heard my song
Conspiracy Radio and CMT fans who
have seen and heard me there are sure
to dig this latest effort entitled
Catalina Sunrise. I am happy to tell
ya it's the best yet. You can order
through my site or through other retail
sites. What else is new hmm..Hey I'm
off to do some visiting and some writing
in Nashville this week. After years
of mostly writing on my own I look
forward to writing with others who
have had even more success on the
commercial end of song writing in
this industry. I love singing and
playing with a band but I love songwriting
at least as much. I intend on touring
and supporting my newest songs and
meeting as many fans and friends again
this year so don't be a stranger and
drop a line, hopefully I'll see you
out on the road this year. One last
this just in, I was honoured to get
the call the other day from the Saskatchewan
Country Music Association. They called
to inform me that I'll be receiving
the SCMA Humanitarian of the Year
Award for my efforts with my Canadian
Country Christmas (Charity Concert
tour) that I organized and toured
across most of Canada last fall. Until
we get to talk with each other, best...and
as a friend said to me other day,
"be you and be Happy" P.S.
Stay tuned for more updates!
